Blood-sugar profile – the patient does not keep a diet, does not stop his treatment, does not change his usual daily regimen. The examination is carried out according to the scheme prescribed by the attending physician.

Oral glucose tolerance test – three days before the test the patient consumes a mixed meal with a minimum of 150 g of carbohydrates per day. If the patient is taking medications that affect carbohydrate metabolism, their intake should be discontinued for 3 days before the test. The test is carried out according to a schedule prescribed by the attending physician.

Lipid status – the examination is carried out in the morning on an empty stomach after a 12-hour fast. 2-3 days before the examination, the patient should take a fat-poor diet. If he/she takes medications that affect fat metabolism, their intake should be discontinued for a period of 2 weeks before the examination.

Electrolytes and oligoelements – the examination is carried out at least 10 days after the last intake of preparations containing them, including multivitamin complexes.

Thyroid hormones – the examination is carried out in the morning, without the intake of coffee and other caffeine-containing substances and without the intake of medication before taking blood.

Reproductive (sex) hormones – the study is conducted in the morning, according to a scheme depending on the phase of the monthly cycle. In women without taking hormonal preparations before taking blood.

vit B12 and folate in serum – the test is carried out at least 10 days after the last intake of preparations containing them, including multivitamin complexes.

Urine (general chemical examination and sediment) – an average portion of the first morning urine is examined, which is collected in chemically clean containers after a thorough local genital toilet.

Sterile urine – it is mandatory to examine first morning urine – it is collected in a special sterile container.

Calcium, phosphorus, catecholamines, 5-HIOC in 24-hour urine, creatinine clearance, microalbuminuria in 24-hour urine, uric acid in 24-hour urine – urine collection starts in the morning (7.00 – 7.30 hours). The first portion of urine is discarded (it is not needed for the study). Each subsequent portion is collected in a pre-washed container convenient for determining the total amount of urine (for example, a 2-liter bottle). A preservative is also added to the urine at the beginning. Shake the container well each time urine is added; store in a cool place protected from direct sunlight. The collection of urine is completed with the addition of the first portion of urine the following morning (7.00 – 7.30 hours). The total amount of urine passed in 24 hours is determined. 50 – 100 ml of the total amount is brought to the laboratory. Before starting the test, consult the laboratory for the necessary supplies.

The material is collected in a sterile container, which must be brought to the laboratory within 2 hours after the separation of the sample. Fecal sample for parasitology and microbiology – the material is taken from different parts of the stool, placing it in a special container.

Parasitology – ostrich (scotch tape) – the material is taken in the morning, before toileting and defecation, using scotch tape, which is glued in the anus area and then attached to a slide.

Fecal sample for Helicobacter pylori – the entire amount excreted in a single defecation is necessary. After thorough stirring (because of the uneven emission of the antigen of interest) from the stool is separated with a measuring spoon and placed in a specially designed container (you can get a container from the laboratory).
